Privacy Policy

Version 2026-10-25 · effective 2026-10-25

Rentiness is in early access; this policy describes how the service works today.

Who we are

Rentiness is operated by Alexandros Petrakis, who is responsible for the personal data Rentiness itself keeps. Contact for privacy questions and requests: info@rentiness.com.

Your business data stays in your own project

During setup, each business connects its own Google Firebase project. Its operating data (rentals, customers, assets, prices, documents and files) is stored in that project, under the business's own Google account and Google billing, not in a shared Rentiness database. Rentiness reads and writes that data only to provide the service, through a dedicated service account created in the business's project with limited roles. For the personal data of its own customers, the business is the controller and Rentiness acts on its instructions.

What Rentiness itself keeps

  • Account data: email address, username, the businesses you belong to and your roles.
  • Setup data: the link to your project, its region, the service account used to reach it, and setup status.
  • Your acceptance of these documents: which version of the Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy you accepted, when, and for which business.
  • Technical logs needed to run, secure and fix the service.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

Google user data

To set up your project, Rentiness asks you to sign in with Google and grant these permissions:

  • Email address and basic profile: to show which Google account you are using and to name your Rentiness login.
  • Firebase: to list your Firebase projects and check your database, file storage and their security rules.
  • Google Cloud: to check your project's billing plan and to create the limited service account Rentiness uses to reach your project afterwards.

This access is used only during setup. The Google token is kept encrypted in Google Secret Manager for the setup session only (at most 45 minutes) and is destroyed when setup finishes. Day-to-day access uses the service account in your project, not your Google account. We never see your Google password or your card details.

Rentiness's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is not used for advertising, not sold, not used to train AI models, and not read by people except with your permission, for security, or where the law requires it.

You can remove Rentiness's Google access at any time in your Google Account under Security, Third-party connections.

Service providers

Rentiness runs on Google Cloud and Firebase. Services that a business chooses to connect, for example payment, email or fiscal reporting providers, process the data they need under that business's own agreements with them.

Website analytics

We may use Google Analytics/Firebase Analytics on the public website to understand aggregate traffic, popular pages, referral sources, device categories, and simple button clicks such as login, early-access, contact, and demo requests. We do not send names, emails, customer records, rental data, or other personal business data in website analytics events.

How long we keep data

Account and setup data are kept while the account exists. Acceptance records are kept as long as needed to show what was agreed. Your business data stays in your own project for as long as you keep it there.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to its use, by writing to info@rentiness.com. You can also complain to your data protection authority.

Changes

When this policy changes, its version changes, and Rentiness asks you to accept the new version before you continue.
